hi tortoise forum !! im looking to adopt a russian tortoise will be going into a loving home ..i have a large space and an empty backyard,im actually looking to adopt any type of tortoise . i have a loving home where it will be happy in the California sun

try your local rescues, Craigslist or animal shelters.
and be sure you can house any type. Do your homework. A russian is MUCH different than a Sulcata.

It might go better for you if we were allowed to get to know you a bit. Since this is more a "conversation" type forum than a buy/sell forum, most of the animals that our members are looking for new homes for, are well-loved animals. We'd like to place them where we know that they will have a good home.

You might also try looking through our "sold" section and make a note of names of those who have sold Russians in the past. Then contact them and see if they have any more for sale.
