lost desert tortoise in so cal acton

our 8 year old male Desrt tortoise escaped his enclosure and is missing in the Acton area of so cal. we are very sad. any info or sightings would be helpful.

Hi,
Have you checked with the Castaic Animal Shelter? Please let me know - I am set to pick up a stay DT today. I am your local CTTC chapter representative with the proper papers to take him in. If it is your tortoise we can cut straight to the point and get him back to you and permitted. He needs to be wearing a tag so this won't happen again. Without the tag they may not return him to you. We have a mandatory holding period of 14 days for stays, while trying to find their owners.

They are open noon to 7:00pm today. It is an adult sized tortoise from their photos to me. If this is your guy we could have a happy ending.

Castaic Animal Shelter Desert Tortoise owner has been found. It is now back home where it belongs. Happy ending. I hope this person finds their tortoise.
