Lower 1/3 of "belly side" shell flexible

I just carried my tort indoors because the next few days will be cold and rainy. I noticed that the lower 1/3 of my torts shell (belly side-the part pointing
towards the ground) moved (flexed) when my tort suddenly retruded his feet into his shell. I then applied slight pressure to this part of the shell and saw that it flexes slighty under pressure.

My tort is a greek, about 3-4 years old. Is this normal?

Here is a picture. Thank you for the thread, it doesn't look like my tort has the same "line" as that egyption tort has. Any greek owners here know if this is normal?
