Hi! Is anyone familiar with this food? I’ve been seeing it a lot on Instagram and was curious!

(I asked this same question on a FB group and got absolutely slammed. I’m well aware that fresh food is better. I wouldn’t be giving this as a main staple, only occasionally!!)

It's a little more than a dollar a pound, and the main ingredients look fine, but it's all those unpronounceable ingredients I don't know about.

I've seen this being promoted. I bought some Lugarti seed mix one time and it took them over 3 weeks to ship it, and never responded to my emails. I finally got it after I opened a PayPal case.

I use the Mazuri as a treat after she’s had her greens. Dandelions are in full bloom, she’s livin’ de Vida Loca

There is a certain group of keepers that feel prepared foods are an anethema. I feed prepared foods as a part of diverse diet at every feed. And my tortoises are healthy, thriving, and reproducing... To be honest, I don't see a big difference between what Lugarti is doing and Zoomed is doing, except that I like Zoomed better because it has ingredients from a much more diverse group of plants.

I concur. I will feed some prepared food on rainy days when I don't feel like going out and foraging for the tortoise. I'll also mix in the dried Opuntia pieces since it doesn't grow as quickly here. So this adds more variety to his diet.

Hey guys, this is what you should post in regards to "is this food good?" questions. Otherwise it's a post about a label.

specifically for Sulcata, Leopard, Russian, Greek, Galapagos, Pancake, and Gopher Tortoises, but can also be fed to other herbivorous reptiles as well.

Frankly, it looks like good stuff, it is NOT rated by T. Boyer in the third edition of the 'Mader' book. The only ingredient I would nix if I was already making my own food is the soy. I'd also try to source all nonGMO or better yet organic ingredients, but I think the price would not come in at about $1.00/pound.

I'll see If I can find some and try it out, that's about 3,226,734,019 on my list of things to do, What's your take?
