Its a wild guess, but its not correct.
Im going to guess male...the tail is rather long and thick.

But like i say its as good as anyones guess.
Too small to tell right now.

The tortoise is way to small to get the sex accurate.

Id say yours is about a year. I think they got to be a couple of years old befor the tell tale signs show.

Yours is between 1-3 years old.
I had a 3 year old the same size of your tortoise.

To be able to tell, they have to be at least 4 inches long id say.

Hi Shaun,

I have two Hermanns,Dexter,we thought was male,and T-for we thought female.When they got to 6 years old,the sexing turned out to be the other way around.To sex your tort would be pure guess work at this age and size.You'll have to wait and see! :)
