Male or female cherryhead?

Hi. Im looking for a male cherryhead and someone is selling this but Im not sure of the sex. The seller says male but I trust the opinion of people here. Thanks

That's a female. The flat plastron combined with the "U" shaped anal scutes are a dead giveaway.

Males generally have a concave plastron (like a spoon) and "V" shaped anal scutes that are too narrow for eggs to pass through.

I don't think you're correct about the configuration of the anal scutes.

If that tortoise's eyes always look like that, I would definitely NOT buy it.

Apart from the scute shapes, adult Red foot males do indeed have very concave plastrons. And an obvious “waist” when looked at from above, often described as giving them a peanut shape. And a large tail that needs to be carried sideways.

That’s still a “v” shape, albeit very wide angle, as opposed to the “u” shape of the female.

So is this a female? I believe it is but not too confident in my assessment. The Plastron is flat, the"V" is narrow and the tail appears small. So this is a girl, correct?
