Male or Female? I'm struggling to see the difference.
And that is a sentence I never thought I would say out loud.
Honestly though, let's kill two birds with one stone. One, you can maybe help me identify these guys if it's not too early, and secondly and much more important maybe you can help me see the things and differences I should be looking for. I've been looking at the internet and just getting frustrated. Even here I'm struggling to find the right answers.
I was able to find what I was looking for when I sexed my Russian. He was a male. That seemed pretty simple.
Anyways I took in these two tortoises. They are five years old and both just over 12 inches long. Both plastrons seem slightly concave but not enough for me to tell you that it is definitive, just enough for me to say it is there. The previous owners were pretty sure one was a male, but they weren't sure about the second one. My girl and my step daughter say I have to solve the mystery (if I can) so they can properly name him/her.
