I have been caring for box turtles for 15 years. My turtles are all rescues and I strive to do my very best with fulfilling their needs in as natural a way as possible. Usually, I keep my box turtles outdoors all year and will allow them to hibernate if their weights are heavy enough. This year, due to a move, they are wintering indoors and are none too pleased about it. Each turtle has a story and some have health challenges that I'm working with currently.
I joined this forum because I love being able to learn new information and to keep as updated on my knowledge of my pets as possible.
And perhaps, someday soon, I would love to adopt a homeless Russian tortoise.
