Congratulations!, I think you will really enjoy having Tank around. I have one about the same size that I've raised from a hatchling.and love spending time with him. Be cautious until you and Tank figure each other out, he is capable of knocking you down, he may not ever try too, but stay alert, and enjoy you new friend.

My guy came out today for the first time in 4 days. He went straight for the nearest puddle and drank. Then he grazed for 15 minutes and went back in his house.

Tank hasn't been out for 18 hours. Tomorrow is going to be warm, so hopefully he'll be out.

With this cold and rain, I'm not surprised.

What are his house temps? Is the CHE in a corner heating up the whole house to 75- 80ish?

I took down the heater. Barry said it might scare him, so I'm going to set it up on Tuesday. I dont want to freak him out too much.

Hmmm.. I respectfully disagree. I can't imagine any 100lb Sulcata would be scared of warm temps in a dry house on a cold rainy day.
My advise would be to get your house temps up to 80F asap. Maybe big sully owners will have input to share.
:)

Congratulations on adding Tank to your family!
(I'm starting to wonder how much my guy weighs! I will find out soon as I am moving him 450 miles!)

Wow! He's beautiful!!! Let him settle down, and once he's familiar with his surroundings, he'll start to show his personality. You need to really let us know what he's really like😉

I got his head out a bit more today!

Sibi, I most definitely will! He's slowly becoming less timid, I think when he gets into the sun tomorrow he'll open up. :)

awww, what a pretty boy :)

:D :D :D I can't wait to get to clean him off! I also plan on putting some cold pressed olive oil onto his shell, where the scute is flaked off.
