Hello!

so I got a little red foot tortoise. I’m unsure of the sex, so I haven’t named yet. My cats are absolutely enthralled with the existence of a tortoise andare Constantly around the tortoise table. I’ve been feeding greens and occasional fruits. I let the tortoise soak in warm water every morning before putting it back in the enclosure to eat. So far so good, this little one just hides away and sleep most of the day.

Welcome to the forum!

Your baby is adorable!

You do need to keep an eye on your cats. They've been known to use an open tort table as a litter box. ?

Oh no! I kept the lids closed unless actively doing something in there. However, I’ve found cat hair all in my tort table and idk what to do about that. I don’t want to have to ban my cat from his outdoor time

I see you're in FL, so you're planning to keep your baby in his table outside all winter? Does he have an indoor closed chamber?

I believe redfoot babies need heat and high humidity.

For the cat hair, I wonder how it gets in with the lid closed. Maybe just blows in. I don't know what you could do about that.
