I'm going to use a mulch mower and not add anything else to the lawn..as long as it stays looking nice. If the front yard loses it's curb appeal (what the landlord sees) then I'll try some of the compost or tea
It works well up here in MA for us, all season we cut weekly and just don't bag it and we keep nice green growing almost 2 acres. We use no bug killer, weed killer or fertilizer because of franklin (except for poison ivy killer by the road because that can and has chocked trees up there). Then at the end of the summer/full we "mulch" I don't know if the mower has a setting or not or if my dad just keeps going over and around the yard and clippings to disperse more, but we do, and the leaves get chopped into it and by spring/ he melt its all gone and green comes back. We also have tons of weeds and dandelions and stuff so even if we didn't care about the yard it would probably still stay green lol
