It’s been really hot here in north Alabama, I’ve had Jackson in his sealed indoor enclosure, where it is always 80-87 degrees and 90% humidity. He is eating well and is looking good.
Here is my setup for now for inside.
I have 2 - 4x3 PVC enclosures that I made, 1 for my Sulcata Baxter , and one for Jackson , they both have 1-t5 uvb light, 1-65w incandescent flood light, 1-45w incandescent flood light, 1-100w che
The Che is on a thermostat set at 80, so it never gets below 80,the 65w flood and the uvb are on 12 hours 8-8, the other 45w flood is on a timer, comes on at 10am goes off at 2, it will get to around 87-89 degrees in the hottest part of the day, (10-2), then slowly comes down in the afternoon @85 when the lights go out, then it takes a few hours for it to get down to 80 and the thermostat kicks on the Che, which doesn’t come on that often through the night, when I get up to check on them through the night, it seems like the Che is not on and the temp is right on 80. Seems good to me, what do you all think about the conditions?
Sulcata is liking it, he has got a routine now.
Jackson, who has only been in there for 1 day, is staying hidden under the bark/hay.
He did eat most of a large pile of greens and Mazuri, so I think he is good. Today Im going to get him outside in the yard and takes some pics, bath and weight .
Also his outdoor enclosure is 4x8 for now, and I am already making it taller ?, I am gonna redo that today ,I will post some pics later if that.
