The pictures were taking directly after a 15 minute soaking. I've had them for about 2 days now. I've witnessed both defecate and urinate. I've seen the male eat. I've not caught the female eating yet. They enjoy hiding in the rock structure that is in their enclosure. They haven't been very active, but do seem to move around on occasion. They were very lively during their soak.

Hi,

I took care of several colonies when I worked at the Philadelphia zoo, so now many years later I am getting some for myself.

They seem to be more 'personable' than people give them credit for.

I have been feeding mine daily, they will come out of their retreat to eat, initially if they think they are un-observed. A few of mine have now come to learn to seek food, just because I was cleaning their enclosure, watering plants etc. They are beginning to associate activity with food opportunity.
