My new Redfoot!

I finally got a redfoot! She (temp sexed, so hopefully "she" is...) was born on Christmas day this past year. I got her from Vicki at Tortoiseyard.com.

She is awesome!! Although, no name yet.....

the base is peat mixed with some sand (about 80/20). i have a layer of sphagnum moss on top of that.

All Vicki's babies are beautiful, and yours is no exception. Very nice enclosure too. What size is the vivariuim?

It's the biggest I have, a 55 gal tank. I'm hoping it will last her at least a year. I have an 8X3 enclosure waiting on her when she gets bigger.

She's very pretty! I love the red spots on the legs.

I have a word of caution for you. It looks like you have a small-bell fixture for your MVB. I think they recommend that you use the larger bell shape with a ceramic base.

thanks, i think she's gorgeous also!



and thanks for the concern, but what i use is a 75 watt flood light for heat and it's in a 100 W rated ceramic base. what you are seeing is a fixture for an 18" fluorescent plant light.
