Welcome to the forum!

As long as it didn’t eat a huge amount, it should be fine. Tortoises are tough. However, just in case, I would soak Pebbles a few times a day for the next few days.

I’m assuming you’re talking about chemicals on the plant, and not the actual plant? Hibiscuses are fine to feed.

Please give these a read and come back with questions :)

Hello i'm back
so if you don't mind if you could look at this website and say witch one is true about the hibiscus syriacus species
1. https://www.thetortoisetable.org.uk/plant-database/viewplants/?plant=237&c=4#.W49LApNKgWo
2.http://africantortoise.com/edible_landscaping.htm
Both of those websites say it is good for them to eat.
BUT, Lowe’s treats it plants with pesticides and chemicals which are harmful for your tortoise. You should wait 6 months to a year before feeding from it. Repot it in new soil as well.

Welcome to the forum!

The Tortoise Table is saying not to confuse your hibiscus, commonly called Rose of Sharon, with a completely different plant also sometimes referred to as Rose of Sharon. Yours is fine. I know it’s hard to figure out all this plant information so please keep asking questions. :)

As mentioned above, the fact that it came from Lowes means it has pesticides in it. Repot it. Some members will go even longer before feeding nursery plants, a full year.

his daily diet is dandelions, clovers, petunia leaves or flowers, mint, wheat grass, sometimes hibiscus leaves and flowers, cactus pads, arugula, radicchio,
i don't feed all of this every day but you get the idea

Spearmint is fine but I’d be surprised if he ate it; the smell is very strong.

Wheat grass not a bad food, per se, but Russians don’t eat grass, only plants with actual leaves (grass only has the straight blades).

These foods are fine but it’s always good to add more variety whenenever you can. Take a look at this food list for sulcatas to get more ideas and add them in when and if you can. Sulcata tortoises do eat grass so ignore the top section about grass, everything below that is good for Russians. https://www.tortoiseforum.org/threads/for-those-who-have-a-young-sulcata.76744/
