Hi everyone,

Here is my 3 1/2 year old sulcata named Kombi! I have had her since a hatchling and just this past May (2020) I moved her to living outside full time. Since then her growth has exploded from 3 lbs. to 16 lbs in just the last few months! Here is a chart of what she has been putting on a month!

(2020)
7-1 = 5 lb
8-1 = 6 lb
9-5 = 7lb 6oz
10-3 = 8lb 13oz
11-1 = 9 lb 14oz
12-6 = 12 lb
(2021)
1-8 = 14 lb
2-7 = 16 lb

Are you sure about the sex? Only curious because tort is still pretty young, but getting big already. Sounds like a happy tort.

Fairly certain based of the size of her tail and flat belly. However the anal notch could go either way, wont hurt to make a posting about it and get a few more opinions!

what did you raise him in when he was a baby?

I turned an old table in to her habitat! substrate was roughly 50% organic soil and 50% cypress mulch. Reinforced the bottom and side walls with pond liner. Occasionally watered her entire space with a watering can to keep things moist and humid. Here is a pick of her old home after she moved out. Cleared most of her toys and water/food bowl out so it looks pretty barren but you get the jist. I also made a grate that sat above the table to place her heat and UV light.
