my tortoise always pee on its food

my always pee (urinate) on its food
and eat it
the enclosure is very wide and have many places to do it
but he always do it in the food bowl
he did it every single time when he wants to eat
he eats very small amount and then climbed the bowl and pee
and then enjoying eating his urinated vegetables
is this harmful to it ?

I have a tortoise that does this too. I now put her food in a bowl and slant it on a small hill so the pee runs down away from her food.
