My tortoise keeps climbing the walls whole day

I am having an indian star and I have kept him in balcony so that he can get direct sunlight for whole day. The problem is he keeps on trying to climb the walls. what to do???

Does he have any shade? They can't stay in the sun all the time, or they'll overheat. Also, what size is the balcony? Maybe he needs more space.

If he can see through the "wall" then he'll keep trying to climb over it. Put up a solid barrier (card board will do) so he can't see through. Provide shade and water too.

He's probably overheating in the direct sunlight. They need shade too.

No matter what type of setup you build, you need to ensure multiple factors
* Open space with sunlight
* Shed
* Hiding space
* Pool type area

Whether it is your balcony or an enclosure or out in your garden, factor all these into account. Please.
