Hi,

I have used 'Thrive Wood Hide Reptile' for my tortoise shelter. They were good because my tortoise always go there to sleep.
Now, my leopard tortoise is getting bigger, and I had to change it to a bigger one. So, I designed and made it using a 3D printer.

Obviously, the right one is new one.

In the morning, she walked backward to get out the shelter in the morning (shelter is too small for her)

(There is a flowerpot left corner. Originally, I wanted to use this as a new shelter, and I placed it to the enclosure with the old 'Wood Hide' to make her move on to the flowerpot by herself. However, she did not use the pot as a shelter and kept use the old one.)

Today, I changed to the new one, and now she is sleeping outside of the shelter... Please see the bottom left corner...

What should I do?
I think the old wood hide shelter is too small for her, so I need to change to another one. and.. I guess she does not like the new one.

Tortoises don't like change. It will take time to get used to the new one. I like to put them in the new hide an hour or two after dark. After a couple of weeks of that, they usually get used to it and accept it.

Your enclosure is way too small for a tortoise that size. Time for a large upgrade.

My redfoot loves her humid hides made from dollar store dish tubs that are upgraded with a tortoise door. She loves them because she can move her tort garage around at will, and I keep having to return it to the one side. Oh well! She seems entertained by it!
Now that's a tortoise toy, really.

I dont think I would put that hide you made in the corner like that! Danger alert!
It looks like your baby could slip along those rounded sides, then get pinned on their side up against one of the encloser walls, then get hurt or suffocate! Carefully!
I would put it in the middle of one of the longer walls .

Thanks for your opinion. I agree that I need to size up the enclosure...
