I use the Jean pain method for heating over the winter. I also have some solar panels on my property as well.

I would be very interested to see how you have set up a compost heater to effective heat a tortoise house in winter.

How big a compost pile is needed to maintain 80° heat inside the tortoise houses?
How often do you have to replace/refresh the compost?
