I thought I could give you guys an introduction to my little tortoises. They are both Males - One Testudo Hermanni Hercegovenisis and one Testudo Hermanni Boettgeri.
They do not live in the same place because they may start fighting when they meet eachother.

The oldest one is my Boettgeri, who I've had for over 6 years.
He is 12 years old and he's got an underbite. Its the guy you see in my avatar.

My other tortoise is the Herce. I got him a couple of months ago, from a family who didnt have time for him anymore.
I do not know his age, but I think he is about 5-6 years old.

Nice photo's, I like the one that is stretched out relaxed..

Both nice looking tortoises.
Is the dalmation type an official sub species or colour variation do you know?

I am not 100% sure about the Dalmatian, if he is or not. But I got help to identify him on the forum.

I know that some people do not recognize the dalmatian as an official sub and some do.
I think you'll have to ask someone else who knows a little more about this than I do.

They look very nice. Which kind of Hermann's is in the 2nd picture? Is he the Testudo Hermanni Hercegovenisis? Also, what did you name them and how do their personalities differ? Thanks for sharing.

You are right, the Boettgeri on the first and the Herce. on the second.

They are called Otto and Tussi.
Otto is kinda hard to explain on english, but he was born 8-8-98.
So if I could translate Otto to english he would be called Eighto, because of the date he was born.
Tussi is Called Tussi because thats the norwegian name on the donkey in Winnie the Pooh because when he came to us he was very shy.

Not too much to say about the personality differences, but they are different - I just don't really know how to descibe them..

Very nice pictures... The first one is like, "What, you talking to me?" and the second if he were a dog would be in his breeder stance.

They are very cute, you are doing a great job with them. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks to all of you. The one with the under bite looks kinda like a bulldog :D
But he's underbite is not problemfree, he can break small pieces of his under "lip", because he got an injury when he was young and
his beak has not been able to completely recover from it and every now and then he breaks off a little piece.

Anyone else here with tortoises with an underbite?
