My three toed box turtle chases me but only when I’m wearing certain things. For example, when I’m wearing black socks he chases them, and when I’m wearing grey sweatpants he chases those. Any idea on why he’s doing this or how to get him to stop? It’s really annoying

He is probably just trying to chase you out of his territory.
One of my tortoises does this too. But she goes a step further and bites.
I can never let her out of my sight when I'm working in her pen.

But if it’s a territory thing then why would he only chase me when I’m wearing certain things? I think he’s probably made some weird association with black socks and grey sweatpants but I don’t know if he thinks their another turtle or if he associates them with food.

Their brains are hardwired for certain behaviors.
Likely it's a color or a texture or a smell that he doesnt like.
