Hello,
I have a fully grown female yellow bellied slider and had her around 9 years. She's in a 5.5 foot tank with a fluval fx6 cannister filtration system. She has two large heaters in her tank and a large basking area with a uvb and heat bulb. She's recently gone off her food and unsure what to do. I took her to a specialist vets who kept her for a few days, did an xray. I thought she was gravid but it turns out she isn't. He seems to think it was because her overies weren't developing her eggs properly and gave me some injections to give her. These injections ran the course and she began eating again. But recently she's gone off her food again and I'm unsure what to do. The only thing she seems to eat, and wolf down btw!, is her treat which is small prawns. She's scoffs them like there's no tomorrow. But her other food, king British, which she's eaten all her life, she doesn't even entertain. I have tried loads of different foods to entice her but she's not having any of it. I'm getting a little worried because it's been a few days and she's not eaten. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Many thanks
