Update: Myakoda is going to be 5 years old next month. We raised her inside for the first year and a half. It wasn't easy, and I was so afraid she would have pyramiding. Well here she is in her outside enclosure. She's not pyramiding, happy, healthy, and she has dug herself a 17 foot deep den in her enclosure! She eats hibiscus we planted, grasses in her enclosure, wild dandelion, rose buds, all organic, and also organic foods from Whole Foods for treats, and in between meals. I also found her organic Tortoise food made in England, it's expensive, but well worth it. She's thrived on it! She loves it, and it has everything she needs. Yay! We did it! Finding a day old Tortoise on the road, and knowing nothing initially about them. Look at her now! The one photo shows Mya at her den opening. She was not happy her Father left the hose on, and she can't go down. So she retreated to soaking in her spa for the afternoon. Cheers! Proud Mommy of Myakoda.
