Unless they are referring to the west and east coasts of Florida?
That's never what I think of though when referring to those two coasts.
Except no mention of the storm in the post.
Anyone referring to west or east coast, 99.9% of people would not think the Florida coasts.
Also the hurricane is actually going to the real east coast.
We've got 3 coasts hereThat's definitely what they meant. People always refer to the east and west coasts here meaning within Florida. Very different because of the gulf and the ocean, but it did catch me off guard when I first moved here.
Hurricane is coming up the gulf and hitting us on the west coast (of Florida.)
Kind of like DC. NOBODY, and I was born and raised there, ever refers to it as Washington. Ever. Then you move away and people call it Washington, and I think Washington state.
