Need a turtle identified! Mud Turtle?

I am hopefully adopting this turtle tomorrow. The shelter said he/she is a Mud Turtle, but I am not 100% sure.

Suggestions? Also, if you know what species he/she is and own one, please share any info in regards to your enclousre, diet, etc. for him/her.

Yep its a mud maybe eastern..

Yes it is a mud turtle. It looks like a Scorpion mud turtle, Kinosternon scorpioides scorpioides to me.

Does anybody have any advice on proper care for them? I can't find too, too much info online. Is it okay for him/her to live outside once it is warmer out (of course with a pond, etc.)?
