Need advice I. Star tortoise lighting

I have a pet Star Tortoise. I have an outdoor cage, well sized where I leave my tortoise to sunbathe for 2-3 hours from 8am to 11am. Also I supplement it's diet with calcium and d3 tablets twice a week. Do I still need  to arrange UV lighting while it's indoor? I live in India

I would think that your two hours of exposure outside is enough. I got by for many years without using a UV light.

Sounds like you should be ok without worrying about UV.
