.Kathy it's actually the other way around ... the MALES will develop the " peanut" waist when mature. From the first pics hard to tell ...but I can assure you the 3rd and 4th pic on the OP's post are girls

On your top picture I think the tortoises on the top right are boys and the one on the lefts a female.
