The ambient humidity is not as important as a humid sleeping box. Has the little one decided where it likes to sleep? If so place the humid hide there if not you will have to put him/her in the hide every night until they get the idea. 50% is great for ambient you just want to give daily soaks for at least 15 minutes twice a day in warm water, tubs work great. Always have food available and you will see very smooth growth.

Just noticed the hide, check the humidity in there. I bet it's pretty high if not get some moss and get it soaked and resoak it every few days to keep it high.

I, too, wouldn't worry about keeping the ambient humidity at 80%. A humid hide and soaks are often sufficient. You can spray the carapace daily also if it'll ease your mind.

Sounds pretty normal. I spray everytime I walk by to help it out. Mine usually are at 70% after I spray and drop down to 60% before I spray again. A humid hide (like what was said previously) is another good solution. Your enclosure looks great by the way! :)

Did you use anything on your wood to protect it? Like what you made, but love the little guy. :D
