Need to know what kind these tortoise are?

hi
l've got two large female torts which lay eggs every year.The last two years i put a friends mail with them, after incubating the eggs all still clear.try to attach photo's

What happened to the tort in the third picture?? I think (don't quote me) that they are both greeks. At least they look greek to me.

he is was kept with a male spur-thighed + he was run over with a car 4 yrs ago.(he the male i loan from a friend )

Hi,
All three of your tortoises look like Hermanns tortoises, Testudo hermanni. If you could post plastron (bottom shell) pictures we could tell for sure and tell subspecies.

Yep, they are Hermanns :) Good luck if you are going to breed them!!!

You have a very discerning eye, Dan. I don't know anything about the Med. species of tortoise...they're all "greek" to me!! And I can only recognize a Hermanii when I see the spur on the tail.
