Hi. I am the owner of two spur thighed tortoises and two hermann and I was wondering if anyone can offer me advice on my new addition.

I had asked the shop if I could have a young spur thighed and later got a phone call that they had a three year old male that I could have. When I went to collect him he was in a bad way and has got slight pyramiding. How can I help his shell?

Any advice I would appreciate!
Thanks!

I am not sure if you can change the pyramiding on a three year old. Wait around and see what others have to say.

You cannot reverse pyramiding, but as he grows the new growth will come in smooth if he gets plenty of sun, good humidity, and a good diet.
