Hi All, we received our 6-month old Aldabra (Kaci if girl, Casey if boy) a little less than a week ago and boy has it been fun!

This is our first Aldabra but I have experience with Sulcata, one a Sully I've had for 15 years. I've always wanted an Aldabra and the timing was just right for us to get one as we will be moving to Arizona in the next year.

I will refer to her as a she since I was told she was temp incubated for female (I know the sex can't be certain for a very long time). When we first received her and opened the box she was shipped in, she immediately popped up and was extremely active, although super skittish. I won't go into details of the first day and past week with our new baby in this intro but i plan on documenting her life in the Aldabra section of the forum.

Until then here are some pics...

Congrats.
I love aldabras. My favorite tortoise. So much personality & usually very gentle with people.

Good fortune.

Hello and Welcome. I visit Chandler AZ about every other year. Not far from Phoenix.
Beautiful little one you have.
