Hello from Central Valley, California! My name is Gabby and I am a college student.
Recently became a proud owner of a three toed, male box turtle named Oliver
Olive was found in the middle of a busy road and living in the central valley, especially in this drought a stray animal will not live long without being rescued. Olive now lives in a very large enclosure we build for him in the backyard. He loves wadding in his pool and eating bananas.
Oliver's shell is not in the best condition. We have taken him to several pet stores and to a turtle rescue and all have said his shell might have been attacked by a dog but his wounds are old and his scares have thankfully and successfully healed.
I would love for anyone and everyone to give me advice and lots of tips on how to keep Oliver as happy and healthy as can be, as I am a first time turtle owner.
