Yesterday, I purchased a captive bred Russian tortoise, and on the day he arrived, he wasn't eating. I woke up today, refreshed his food and water, and he's still not eating! I am getting a bit worried. He's also moving around just fine. Should I just give him time to adjust to his new enclosure? How long does it usually take them to trust you?

That is normal most of the time. Please post pictures of the tortoise and enclosure. My baby sudanese sulcata did not eat for 2 days or so. Now he only eats when I'm not looking. ?

So with my new enclosure should I just leave it there when I complete it

@Brian Nicoleau If it doesn't eat or poop for a week since you got it, I would say there might be an issue. If you just got it a day or two ago, then I wouldn't be too concerned. Also, soaking a tortoise will stimulate it to poop and pee.
