Still have more painting and bricks but its almost finished.... Thinking about putting hay and doggie door type plastic to cover the door opening.

This is great. Seems simple to build and perfect for them to come and go as they please.

Cute torti!

I would screw down a rubber horse stall mat on the ramp and get rid of that blanket asap.

Very nice setup, Skipper and Buddy must be very happy to have a great new home to hang their hat on after a busy day "mowing the lawn and grooming the yard".

This is one of the best I've seen. Can you tell us how the inside is set up? I find the whole heating / lamp / thermostat thing to be confusing. Is it heated in there?

Yes there is a heat lamp inside. I have not needed to turn it on yet since I live in AZ and it has not been too cool. The heat lamp is attached to a shelf that was built inside. The entire roof lifts up which makes cleaning easier. I put hay in yesterday and they slept inside for the first time :) I just looked in and they are back inside again.

Could you share how it lifts up? Is it on hinges on one end, maybe with a prop to keep it up? Or are those boards I see attached around the bottom-outside edge keeping it from slipping off?

That is a very nice house. I love their little rug leading into the house.
Thanks for sharing this!
