I've read every single care sheet I could find and regularly read threads on this forum! I don't know if there's much I haven't read aboutVery cute. Be sure to read the sulcata caresheet and the closed chamber thread for proper care with heat, humidity and everything else you will need to know.
This is her temporary enclosure until I can have my dad help me build a bigger one.A gorgeous tort! GOD bless.
Any pic(s) of her enclosure?
And a very warm welcome to the forum, @Mloz .
The bigger the enclosure the better, keep that in mind please. Torts are used to roam around in the wild "as they please" without boundaries/red lights. This is her temporary enclosure until I can have my dad help me build a bigger one.
I totally understand and ive read all of those forums! I'm in my twenties but my dad is a construction work so I'm going to have him help me build a suitable habitat. Thanks for the links!Hello and welcome to the forum.
You mentioned "Dad" and this is a family friendly forum, but it helps us to know the approximate age of the person were conversing with or advising.
I have a 10 year old daughter and I explain animal care issues differently to her than I would someone like your Dad, for example.
You should be aware that most of the care advice out in the world for this species is based on 30 year old incorrect assumptions of how they live in the wild and most of it is wrong. Here is the correct care advice based on decades of trial and many past errors. Please give each of these a read through:
