Most of us partially or completely cover the top of the enclosure to keep in humidity (plexiglass?)and use substrate that can hold moisture. Such as Orchid bark.
Using such an enclosure would almost always eliminate the need for any extra humidity source.

Hey folks.
Thanks again for all the input.
Spent the past few days pimping out Littlefoot's pad. Let me know what you guys think!

Went with substrate on half for now just in case he starts eating it (so far so good !)

Uvb bulb on half, che towards the warm side. Digital thermometer, reptifogger. I placed his water on top of where the under heating pad is(it's only about 8" by 8") and he's loving heading in there every few hrs during the day. Having the CHE + heat pad brings habitat temp up to about 80 during the day, and turning the heating pad off drops the heat to 70 at night. (CHE on 24/7, it's pretty cold here right now in Winnipeg) haven't covered the top so I'm having to leave the fogger on low most of the day to keep humidity up over 70%

Let me know what you guys think. So far I've noticed him seem much happier !
