I found this salad pack while shopping this morning ... Darwin went nuts for the mix, and I'm psyched about a local and organic mix that has great choices for Darwin.

I'm in love with my live-in micro-dinosaur, have a great time watching him live/explore/grow, and am so glad that I got him as a hatchling.

    Darwin contemplating minty-fresh breath ....

    Darwin's shell is currently 3.25" by 2.5" ... he was 160g at this morning's weigh-in.

Do you have a photo for comparison in growth?

The best I can do is the following pair of pics with him on the sink for a soak ... in the first, on the day he arrived I think, he could fit into the strainer, today he's too big.

He also seems to be getting longer relative to his width ....

Thanks, based on what Redfoot Ranch said, I've set his Birthdate on 7/24/18.

Then why do you suppose he chooses to sit under the light instead of in a hide spot?

I went shopping this morning and brought home some farm fresh watercress and kiwi that was on sale for Darwin ... I added a bit of egg for color and variety.

    IMG_8011.jpg

He went to town on the meal.

    IMG_8012.jpg

Some of the watercress was fresh enough I'm trying to get it to root.

    IMG_8014.jpg

I love feeding him while he soaks ....

Thanks so much ... I still feel so clueless and just want to give him the best start possible.

I wouldn't have any real idea about how to care for him without TFO, for which I'm grateful everyday.
