I just got a redfoot, my first tortoise, this past Wednesday.

He's about the size of a flattened tennis ball (and not necessarily a he, but I've got a feeling about him).

He's been eating well, and seems to like his ridiculously large enclosure (a 50g I found used in my area).

I'm excited to get to know him, and to see him grow.

Cute. Thanks for sharing.

I found this salad pack while shopping this morning ... Darwin went nuts for the mix, and I'm psyched about a local and organic mix that has great choices for Darwin.

I'm in love with my live-in micro-dinosaur, have a great time watching him live/explore/grow, and am so glad that I got him as a hatchling.

Im seeing how fast they grow recently. My new hatchling went from 32 grams January 1, to 54 grams yesterday! Darwin looks great!

Do you have a photo for comparison in growth?

The best I can do is the following pair of pics with him on the sink for a soak ... in the first, on the day he arrived I think, he could fit into the strainer, today he's too big.

He also seems to be getting longer relative to his width ....

I went shopping this morning and brought home some farm fresh watercress and kiwi that was on sale for Darwin ... I added a bit of egg for color and variety.

He went to town on the meal.

Some of the watercress was fresh enough I'm trying to get it to root.

I love feeding him while he soaks ....

You are to be commended on his excellent smooth shell growth:<3:.

Thanks so much ... I still feel so clueless and just want to give him the best start possible.

I wouldn't have any real idea about how to care for him without TFO, for which I'm grateful everyday.
