Just got a new Russian tortoise, been waiting for it a longg time. I can't wait to participate in this forum! I have a turtle table, it's 4'x3'. I was also wondering what would be a good bedding for him because right now I have alfalfa pellets in there and he seems not to like them.

Thanks!

Kyle and squirtle!

Welcome to the Forum, Kyle!

I use cypress mulch. Some of us use coco coir, and some use plain dirt from outside (as long as it's free of pesticides and fertilizers.

Hello! He looks nice, might be getting an overgrown beak, so watch that. I use coir (bed-a-beast bricks) and 205 or less children's play sand on my Russians.

We use coco coir too. My daughter almost named her Russian Squirtle. Is that a Pokemon character?

It actually is a Pokemon name but i'm thinking of changing it to Sheldon cause squirtle is actually a turtle. haha

What do you recommend I do to fix that?
