Greetings all. I am a professor, writer, animal behaviorist, herpetologist, Shakespeare scholar, theatre director, koi keeper, tarantula collector, and aquarium enthusiast--and now a caregiver for a lovely young Gopherus morafkai rescued off of a busy traffic median by a well-meaning neighbor and until recently housed in a bathtub.
It's a sweet wee thing, and in good shape to brumate, I believe. Daytime temps are still in the upper 80s here, but guess who will be constructing a hybernarium this week?
I look forward to learning and sharing with you all!
