Very pretty. Nothing like a brand new baby tortoise!!!

Welcome to the Forum. Be sure to read all the stuff at the top of the Sulcata section. We have new info on caring for baby tortoises...much better reading than old stuff you find in books or on the web.

Picked up some organic wheat grass from petsmart and got some hibiscus leaves and flowers from my parents house because I know they don't spray anything

Looks like you are off to a great start with great food too! Nicely done.

I like to use two terra cotta plant saucers sunk into the substrate. One for water and one for food. Some substrate will still get stuck to the food, but that should reduce it some.

I have one for water and a flat stone for his food but that's a good idea to put his food in one too thanks!
