I've finally got round to building Hokies new table and finished his fake rocks to go on his back wall. It's been really hard to find ideas on how to make these, but they're really simple.
1) put bin bag down on the space you want to make your rock wall in (so it doesn't stick)
2) spray expanding foam in random pattern and leave to dry
3) cover in 2 layers of wetter than normal grout
4) paint with base colour (in this case gray)
5) put paint on brush then dab most of it off and layer up colours, I started with black, then brown, green, lighter brown and finished with white.
Really pleased with the results!
