It has been years since I posted on any tortoise forums. I have 2 - sulcutas, 1 leopard, and 1 red foot.

My first and oldest sulcutas passed away on Good Friday... very sad day - he was 14 yrs old. That is why I have decided to post.

Since he has passed my other large 13 yr old sulcuta has been very aggressive and trying to bust into the smaller tortoises habitats. She has always been docile.. she had been with my oldest tort since she was a hatchling.. Any insight into why she is acting like this?

Welcome to the forum. I am so sorry for your loss. I am not sure about the behavior, maybe someone else can talk about that.

to the forum!!

Are you sure that the tortoise is female? I have a male sulcata who gets highly aggressive if he smells another tortoise across the fence from him.

Welcome to the forum :)

Sorry to hear about your tortoise passing away :( Are you sure it's a female? How big is she? What size enclosure is she in?
