New to Forum NEED ADVISE!!!!!

Hi, I am Myssie I am new here and would like some advise on torties. I don't have one yet, but I am interested in getting one. I need advise as to which tortie would be good for a very greenhorned beginner that lives in Ontario Canada. I want to narrow down the choices so I can do all of my research on that particular species, so that I may give it the best home. I would love any feedback at all. Thanks all

get a russian. they are great first time pets with wonderful personalities!!!

I agree a Russian would probably be your best bet. He could live outside for the summer, and you would have to have a tort table and the proper lighting for the winter time, but that is much easier done with a small tort like a Russian.

Thank you so much, how big do these torts get?? Like I said I am all very new to this. I will be doing alot of research before I do. I am hoping for next summer. Do Russians need to hibernate?? again, more research
