Hello all! I am new to this site, but not new to loving turtle and tortoises. I have just acquired a new tortoise and am eager to learn lots, and share my fun with raising her! I have found that research on different sites can be confusing, as the information is sometimes contradicting. I'm hoping to learn much more from people who own and raise tortoises.

Hi! Welcome! What kind of tortoise did you get? As to the confusion and varying advise about the same thing, heck it happens in here alone on just about every subject matter. The thing is, no two of us will get the same results from doing the same thing. There is a variance between us due to environmental conditions, tortoise differences, and even our own personal likes and dislikes. So you have to wade thru the advise, take what you think is the best, and then keep tweaking it to fit you and your tortoise.
