I've only had my red foot for a few months now and today he just started walking into walls and he seems excessively active. It appears as if a scale on his head wants to peel off. Now, I know how snakes shed and animals with exoskeletons molt, but how do tortoises/turtles grow? Is he just shedding?
I've seen an ongoing debate on how much fruit he should get. I feed him some diced strawberries (roughly 1 1/2 individual strawberries worth) about once a week. Is this too much? Too little? Perfect? His main died is red romaine lettuce and kale. He also seems to love bananas.
Also, de-chlorinating his water... is this a good idea? And what brand should I go with. My girlfriend has Seachem Prime for her beta, is it okay to use that?
