Hello , I am a new tortoise parent to a very young ( 2 months tomorrow) eastern Hermnann's tortoise . My 6 year old named the tort Rex , Rexy if it ends up female :) We got him about 3 weeks ago I have been following up on info on this forum since we got him . I'm happy I found this forum before I stumbled on incorrect care for him . The question I do have is , should he be having some kind of outside time ( monitored of course) or should I wait for him to get older . Thank for any input you have for me .
p.s we live in Phoenix, Az.

Welcome to You and Rex. I have had my sulcata since he was a baby. Outside sun is great for them. Supervised is a must and keep your eyes on the sky for Predatory birds also. Also don't let them get overheated. Morning or evening sun for a 1/2 hr or so. After give them a good soak in warm water for a 1/2 hr or so. Don't let the water cool down and depth of water is where the carapace and plastrom meet. Should soak everyday.
