New here. My name is Chrissy. I have just adopted a red foot tortoise. Who has sever pyramiding. Vet appointment today. I live in southeastern Pennsylvania.

Pyramiding is caused by being raised in a too dry condition. It's usually just cosmetic and nothing to worry about.

What about vitamins you put ontop of their food. Or calcium supplements ontip of their foods?

That's fine to do. I like to feed eggshells to my Redfoots for calcium. It's just most Vets don't know what they're doing and are quick to sell you on things like that that aren't necessarily and sometimes can be harmful.
