Hello from Switzerland,
Just want to introduce myself. I'm from Switzerland and have two Russian Tortoises. I stumbled across this forum when looking for advice on how to care properly for my two little ones. Looking forward to getting advice and learning more about tortoise care :)

Welcome from Florida, USA, Lozza!! The first thing you will find....And you will find a lot here, is that it is nearly impossible for two Russian torts to live together. The first thing to do is separate them.

Thanks for your reply! Yes, I've also read that however in the past year we've had absolutely no problems with them being together. It seems odd but they actually appear to enjoy each others company. He does try to mount her from time to time, but he doesn't stress her in the same way as what I've read online. I don't know if this has anything to do with their upbringing. I've posted my full story with them here:

Welcome to the forum. He will continue to bother her, basically to the point she will get sick. I would definitely recommend either get a couple more females :) or separate them.

Hello and welcome. Following, crowding, hanging out and mounting are all signs of tortoise aggression and territoriality. There does not have to be overt obvious ramming and biting for there to be a problem. She is living in terror and would like to escape the territory of this male. They would both be much happier in their own enclosures.

Here are some tips for care:
